The photos of Sonia with her first son Stanley were received by my aunts in mid-1920s when the Iron Curtain separating relatives in the USA and the USSR and prohibiting mail communications was not setup. My paternal grandmother Genya Leya Neyman (born Volchek or Volchok) and Chana Yenta Axelband (born Volchok) were daughters of Doba Volchok (born Grazel) and Moisey Volchok from Bobruisk.
