Stanley Tharler's Obituary
Stanley Lester Tharler (92), of Boca Raton, FL, and Leominster, MA. Devoted husband of Muriel for more than 70 years, beloved brother of Seymour Tharler (decd) and Lucille Schwartz (decd), loving role model for his sons, Steven Tharler (Wayland, MA) and Gary Tharler (Sebastopol, CA) and their families: Nancy Tharler, Kate Tharler, Rabbi Anne Brener, Scott and Lisa Tharler, Marni and Jen Tharler, Annabella and Caralyn Tharler. Awarded Bronze Star for his service during the Battle of the Bulge. Former principle in S. Tharler & Sons, Inc. (Leominster, MA) and Sanitoy Corp (Fitchburg MA). He was a kind, gentle, generous, curious soul, known for his quick wit, humanitarian values and keen observations. He loved to study Torah and history, recent and ancient. He was an exhibited artist and sculptor. He loved sports, was an avid golfer and tennis player, enjoyed bridge, Suduko, Scrabble and crossword puzzles. Funeral services will be at Congregation Agudat Achim, 268 Washington St., Leominster MA, on Sunday, October 30, at 1:00 p.m.; interment at Agudat Achim cemetery, 320 Rollstone Rd, Fitchburg, MA. In lieu of flowers, to honor his commitment to the synagogue and Jewish prayer and observance, please senddonations to the Stanley Tharler Memorial Fund c/o Congregation Agudat Achim.
