Steven Richard Berger's Obituary
Berger, Steven Richard, of Aventura passed away suddenly on October 25, 2019. He was the cherished husband for 42 years of the late Dr. Francine Berger and beloved father of Amy (Howard) Chafetz and Charles (Tanya Rebecca) Berger, dear brother of Barbara Miller. He most treasured his role as grandfather of Jolie and Cameron Chafetz and Catherine Berger. Steven was born on August 23, 1945 in Miami and raised in Miami Beach. Steven was a graduate of Miami Beach Sr. High School and a proud alumnus of The University of Alabama, a tradition that has been perpetuated for several generations. Steven practiced law as an appellate attorney in the State of Florida for many years and in retirement enjoyed his time with family, friends and cheering for Alabama Football-Roll Tide! Service on Monday, October 28, at 12:30 at Levitt-Weinstein, 18840 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach. Memorial observance at the home of Amy and Howard Chafetz, Monday following interment and Tuesday and Wednesday beginning at noon. Minyan will be held at 7:00 each evening. Charitable donations in Steven’s memory to Beth Torah or The Greater Miami Jewish Federation are sincerely appreciated.
