My brother, Steve, was very intelligent and had a good sense of humor. He will always be remembered for being a math wiz and chess champ. Steve could tell you the day of the week for any date that you gave him. He was so exceptional that he was invited to attend the Bronx High School of Science. After moving to Florida, he attended the University of Miami where he got his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics. Steve graduated from his undergraduate studies at the young age of 19. So much for college being hard. He was an assistant professor for a while and later became an actuary for a government agency for several years. Steve loved to read and learn. He enjoyed the annual Miami bookfair and various Chabad activities including their Chanukah celebrations. Steve celebrated his 59th birthday on October 19, 2014 and died of a heart attack on December 22, 2014. He will be missed.
