Steven Kessler's Obituary
Steven "Pops" Kessler, 80, born February 8, 1945, passed away on December 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and deep love for the people and places that shaped his life. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Steven carried with him strong work ethic and determination.
A talented general contractor and project manager for Turnberry Associates and Fountainebleu Development, Steven dedicated his career to building and shaping the world around him. He worked on hotels, high-rise buildings, and large-scale projects that stood as a testament to his skill, precision, and pride in his craft. He approached every project with the same commitment he brought to his life: steady, dependable and strong.
Steven loved the vibrant energy of the Aventura community. He embraced the culture, the warmth and especially the sense of belonging he found within Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center. Aventura wasn't just where he lived—it became a place he loved deeply.
Like his father before him, Steven embraced the joy and frustration that comes with being a proud member of the Pittsburgh Steeler Nation.
Nothing brought him more happiness than moments shared with his family—especially the times he could be surrounded by his children and six beloved grandchildren. Their joy was his joy, and those memories will forever shine brightly.
Steven is survived by his brother Richard Kessler (Karen), his brother-in-law Steve Katzki, his daughter Leah Kessler Denson (Scott) , his son Brandon Kessler (Ella), and his grandchildren Jacob, Vivian, Isabella, Corinne, Eliza Jane and Maxine. He is also survived by his nephews Joshua Kessler (Jessie) their sons Kainoa and Kilani'io, Jordan Kessler (Beth) and their daughter Sophie. His sisters Rosalie and Jane precede him in passing along with their parents Bernard and Bella (Levine) Kessler.
His memory will forever be a blessing to his friends, family and loved ones.
