Stewart Lessel's Obituary
It is with great sadness to let you know of the passing of Stewart Lessel on July 7, 2018. Stewart was born April 11, 1935 in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York to Sadie & Abraham Lessel. Stewart lived life to the fullest having many careers. He owned men's clothing stores in Brooklyn and Queens. He also owned a bar and grill in Greenwich Village. Stewart followed these careers as a sheet metal worker, involved in projects including the World Trade Center. Stewart then moved his family to Miami Beach as owner of a window service company. He finally transitioned to a successful exporter to the caribbean. He was a proud member of the Nor-Isle Optimist Club for over 30 years. Stewart is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Arlene. Stewart is also survived by his loving children Judith (Kevin Abrams), Jeffrey (Darcy Lessel), his adoring grandchildren David and Joshua Abrams and Molly Lessel, niece and nephew Harriet & Howard Lessel, cousins Elly Tay & Gloria Kopf. Stewart is predeceased by his brothers Joseph and George. The family wishes to acknowledge and express sincere gratitude to his caregivers, Sylvia Sarria, Marie Neslie Saint-Vil and Cynthia Jones. Stewarts's wit and humor will be missed but never forgotten. Funeral will take place 11:30 am Monday, July 9th at Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert, 720 71st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141, with interment to follow at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL.
