Susan Lea Desrochers' Obituary
Susan was born June 13th, 1947 in Richmond Virginia to Maurice and Wanda Westridge where she was the first of four children. She was married to Jean-Luc DesRochers September 2nd 1972 and had two children, Daniel and Rachel, in 1983 & 1985. She is survived by Jean-Luc DesRochers, Rachel Cox, and Daniel DesRochers (Husband and Children), Grandchildren Layla and Silas Cox and Remington DesRochers, and her brothers and sisters, David, Batia, Diana,and many nieces and nephews.
Susan was an amazing mother, wife, sister, grandmother, teacher, and a pillar of the Sandlefoot community. For almost thirty years, she worked in local child care, and helped to shape thousands of kids over that time. She was mother to more than just her own children, in her professional and personal life she cared for others as if they were her own. She was a genuine, kind soul and will be missed dearly by many.
Services will be held at Levitt - Weinstein, 7500 North State Road 7, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 on Friday March 4th at 2pm. The family will be accepting visitors at their home following the service between 4pm and 6pm and on Saturday, March 5th between 10am and 12 noon.
