Valerie Useden Robbin's Obituary
Valerie Useden Robbin October 11, 1949 – February 8, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Robbin, who left this world on February 8, 2025, at the age of 75. A devoted environmentalist, passionate adventurer, and deeply loving mother and grandma, Valerie lived a life full of purpose, kindness, and an unwavering connection to nature.
Born on October 11, 1949, to Neil and Doris Useden, Valerie was a longtime resident of Coral Gables, where she built a life filled with love, care, and advocacy for animals and the environment. She worked as a massage therapist and as a receptionist in veterinary clinics, where her compassionate spirit shone through. She was a dedicated member of the Sierra Club, Shake-a-Leg, and numerous other environmental organizations, always striving to make the world a better place.
Valerie found true joy in nature—whether she was boating, kayaking, biking, or camping, she embraced the world around her with care and grace. Her love for nature was matched only by her love for her family. She was a devoted sister and aunt, a beloved mother to Brian and Scott Robbin, and a proud and loving grandma to Emma, Allie, Ava, Elsie, and Aster.
Her warmth, laughter, and boundless energy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the impact she had on so many. May her spirit continue to inspire us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society http://www.nationalmssociety.org and the Jewish National Fund www.jnf.org.
