Zelda Braunstein's Obituary
Zelda Braunstein of Aventura, Florida passed away August 7, 2021. Loving wife of the late Abe "Sonny" Braunstein, loving mother of Annette Weissman (the late Dr. Bruce Weissman) and Jack (Qui Lan) Braunstein, cherished grandmother of Jason (Ella) Goldberg, Jordan (Elaine) Braunstein and Petra (Michael) Cripe, adored great-grandmother of Brandon & Aubrey Goldberg, Ty & Elisabeth Braunstein, Max, Miles, Charlie and Jack Cripe. She was was born in Montreal, Canada August 1922. Her parents Abe and Esther Greenfield were Eastern European immigrants. She moved to New York as a young child and grew up there. She married Abe “Sonny” Braunstein and moved to Miami Beach in the early 1950’s. She made her home there with Abe and her two children, Jack Braunstein and Annette Weissman. Zelda had a lovely life in old South Beach, enjoying the beautiful weather, shopping on Washington Avenue and playing canasta and mahjong with her close friends. Zelda moved to Delray Beach, Florida and resided there for several years before returning to Miami-Dade County and residing in Aventura. Zelda enjoyed a comfortable life and keeping it relatively simple. Just being with her family was her joy in life. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
