Making funeral and cemetery arrangements, whether at the time of need or planning ahead, can be very confusing and stressful, which is why our experienced staff is here and always willing to help guide you on this journey. As stated in our mission, we treat each family like we would our own and that starts the second you step onto the property. Michael C. Blasberg is a third generation Funeral Director and Pre-Need Counselor for Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapels & Cemeteries. Blasberg earned his degree at Miami Dade College of Mortuary Science and began his career working with his father, Larrie S. Blasberg, and brother, Ira M. Blasberg, at Blasberg Funeral Chapel on Miami Beach which was started by his father in 1965. Over the years, he has fulfilled many different roles within the business and now serves as the Regional Operations Manager.
During his 40 plus year professional career, Blasberg is proud to have helped many people in their time of need, interacting with people of all generations. He has a unique passion for what he does; he is able to put himself totally into what he is doing and always makes himself available to those seeking his help. Michael laughs with clients and cries with clients, and though he never gets used to what he does, if he stopped doing either he feels it would be time to stop being a Funeral Director. He keeps a book of client testimonials that he likes to read at times to remind him why he does what he does.
Michael lives in North Miami Beach with his wife Margie and his Golden Retriever Halo. Michael and Margie have two children Joshua and Hillary. In his free time Michael enjoys spending time with his family and friends, riding his bike and walking on the beach.

Claire Piché started her career in the cemetery and funeral business back in 2009 as the receptionist at Beth David Memorial Gardens. Upon graduating with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University she had plans to move on and utilize her degree, but NorthStar had a different path in mind and was offered the position of General Manager. Claire developed a passion for the industry, welcomed the opportunity and says being able to guide and support families on their toughest day is beyond rewarding and the relationships we build with the families we serve are irreplaceable. Claire saves all the notes from families she has helped over the years and says that it means the world when a family’s come back weeks, months, or even years later just to say Hello!
As a Florida native, when she is not managing the day to day operations at Beth David, she enjoys anything outdoors where the sun is shining. Architecture, art, the beach, paddle boarding, working out and spending time with her family, friends and fur-babies, Chichi and Lola are some of her downtime interests. Whenever she can, Claire loves to travel throughout the States and abroad. This job has taught her to stop, take life in while appreciating every moment and always remember to live, laugh, love.

Bob Harrington joined the NorthStar family in May of 2017 when he traded in snow boots for sandals. Bob was born and raised in the western suburbs of Detroit and lived in south central Michigan for most of his life. Bob got his start in sales at 19, selling home improvements for his father and uncle, eventually starting his own remodeling business.
In 2010 he transitioned into the funeral and cemetery business as a Sales Manager working in Kalamazoo MI. In 2012 he accepted an opportunity to transfer to Oak Brook IL where he enjoyed great success building and managing a team for a new acquisition property there.
While in IL, Bob met his fiancée, Cindy and between them they have 6 adult children and 6 grandchildren. As a child, Bob and his father shared a love for the great outdoors and they shared that love together with hunting trips, camping trips throughout the states and many fishing trips that included salmon fishing in Alaska. Bob’s fiancée, Cindy, also shares his love for the outdoors and together they enjoy boating, fishing, golfing and the beach during their downtime.

Mark Ginsberg joined the staff at Beth David Memorial Gardens 13 years ago and is a Location Manager. He is a member of Temple Beth Emet, Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce, Davie Cooper City Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Pythias and B'nai Brith.
Mark has been a licensed funeral director since June of 1979.
Mark has been married to Jill for 35 years with daughter, Faith, son-in-law, David and son Michael.
When asked to give the proudest moment in this profession Mark said: “There are so many over the last 35 years, helping families through the most tragic losses of the very worst of times.”

Michael O'Malley joined the staff at Levitt Weinstein 32 years ago and is the Location Manager at Levitt Weinstein Blasberg Rubin Zilbert Memorial Chapels. He is a Knight of Columbus.
When we asked what attracted Michael to this field, He said: “I acquired a part-time job while attending college in Massachusetts for business and the owner of the funeral home started teaching me the different aspects of the business and I decided I wanted to make it my career.”
Michael has 2 children, a daughter who is 23 and a son who is 21; both are currently in college. He enjoys collecting watched and classic cars.
When asked to give the proudest moment in this profession Michael said: “I find it very rewarding to comfort and help families in the most difficult time of their lives.”
Office Manager at Beth David Funeral HomeRead Bio
Cindy Gruber joined Beth David Memorial Gardens in the administrative department 21 years ago and is a Funeral Home Manager. She is a proud participant in the American Cancer Society "Relay for Life". Cindy previously started out in the pre-need accounting office then in 2005 began working with Mark Ginsberg in the funeral home.
Cindy has been married for 29 years and enjoys spending her spare time in her annual vegetable garden, growing orchids, playing with the dogs and floating in the pool. When asked to give the proudest moment in this profession Cindy said: “The thank you's from families for helping them at a painful time.”

Patty Terry joined Beth David Memorial Gardens in the administrative department 24 years ago and is the current Office Manager.
Patty previously was employed with Fred Hunter's from 1982 to 1990. When we asked what attracted Patty to this field, She said: “She enjoys working with accounting.”
Patty enjoys spending her off time taking care of her animals.
When asked to give the proudest moment in this profession Patty said: “Helping families understand their contracts.”

Marc Scott Rubin is a Licensed Funeral Director and Sr Director of Business Development for the Levitt Weinstein and Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert family of funeral homes and cemeteries. Born and raised in the business, Rubin represents the third generation of the company. As Area Sales Director, Rubin oversees the entire sales team from Dade to Palm Beach County. In addition, he works with families who are interested in private family estates and mausoleums, designing the majority of the granite that is put into the cemeteries. He takes great pride in helping families design their final tribute to themselves or their loved ones, creating a final memorial that they can be proud of.

A native Floridian born in Miami Beach, Rubin attended the Lehrman Community Day School and North Miami Beach Senior High School. He resides in Weston with his wife, Jill, and children Blake and Luke. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, attending local sporting events and playing basketball with friends. He also sits on the board of a sporting goods company he invented called Fanband, which is a patented jersey-like wearable sweatband product licensed with the NBA, MLB and college sports.
