Made pre-need arrangements over the phone and online and it couldn’t have been easier. They finance interest free over 5 years automatically deducting payments from Amex card (racking up those Amex points 😀). Marilyn Ladis was super helpful!

“Levitt Weinstein Blasberg Rubin Zilbert Memorial Chapels - Obituary for Mike Kess - Born in Boston on March 18, 1943, during the height of World War II, Michael Emanual entered the world just a day after St. Patrick’s Day into a family defined by service and resilience. Mikes father the late Bob Kess served in Africa and Italy - Faced the beach landing in Anzio. Raised in Dorchester before later moving to Brookline, Massachusetts, Mike grew up under the proud legacy of a father who was a decorated war hero, having earned the Silver Star and Presidential Unit Citation for his profound bravery at the Battle of Anzio. Distinguished Public Servant & Del Boca Vista PensionerThe Academic Foundation: An alumnus of the prestigious Brookline High School, he laid the groundwork for a lifetime of intellectual pursuit before earning his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and completing his academic trifecta with a Master’s degree from Northeastern University. A Lifetime of Federal Service: Dedicated over three decades—34 distinguished years—to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), serving as a pillar of integrity, fiscal oversight, and federal excellence. The Golden Years: Having successfully navigated the halls of Washington, he transitioned into a well-earned, elite retirement. As a true, premier pensioner, he now embraces the ultimate high life, basking in the sun and luxury of the legendary Del Boca Vista in Delray Beach, Florida. A longtime resident of Winchester Street in Brookline, Mike left the cold New England winters behind and embraced the Florida sunshine. He was a loving father and an amazing grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Mike had a great passion for sports and staying active. He loved tennis and played regularly at the private clubs in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. When pickleball arrived on the scene, Mike was all over it like white on rice — diving in with the same enthusiasm and competitive spirit he brought to everything he enjoyed. He also loved swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, finding joy in the water and the coastal lifestyle he cherished. A successful real estate investor, Mike built a strong portfolio focused on multifamily properties. Always sharp and stylish, he was rarely seen without his Rolex — a signature touch that reflected his appreciation for quality and the finer things in life. Above all, Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and the love he showed his family. Over 20 years ran a multi family property now for the Son and Grand Kid - Mike, He brought energy, humor, and comfort to everyone around him. His presence will be greatly missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and friends. May his Life and his memory be a blessing. To honor a life defined by dedication and distinction, let us carry forward his spirit through profound acts of grace and benevolence. You are invited to champion the causes closest to the human heart by extending your generosity to those most in need. Sustain the Community: Offer a tremendous, life-changing donation to our local shelters, providing sanctuary and hope to the homeless. Open Your Heart and Home: Be absolutely amazing by adopting a stray dog or cat, granting a loyal, forgotten companion a second chance at a beautiful life. Let us be extraordinary. Let us be tremendous. In doing so, we ensure that the warmth, integrity, and vibrant legacy of Michael Kess live on forever. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Mike's generous spirit, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to a local homeless shelter to help those in need. May he rest in eternal peace. God bless.”

“Levitt Weinstein were absolutely wonderful at the time that was extremely difficult for our family after my mom's passing. From comforting words to facilitating transport of her remains from Florida to New York, they did all that while while preserving her dignity and that gave our family immense comfort. Lindsay Spann was our contact person and she was absolutely wonderful. Quick to respond and giving us all the answers that we needed, taking a huge burden off of our shoulders. Thank you Lindsay and I believe Marilyn for your compassionate care.”

“During one of the most difficult times for our family, Michael and the team at Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel were compassionate, supportive, and professional throughout the entire process. They handled every detail with care and made things much easier for our family during an overwhelming time. We especially appreciated the personal touches they incorporated, including baskets of Chocolate Kisses at the service in honor of my mother’s favorite candy. Their kindness and guidance allowed us to focus on grieving, remembering my mother, and being together as a family. We are very grateful for the care and support they provided.”

“We can not say enough about Ed Ford and Beth David Memorial Gardens. They were truly amazing and very helpful, kind and compassionate. We live in New York and Ed went out of his way to have the plaque engraved early and also personally had the urn picked up from the crematorium. Ed also recommended Rabbi Frank, who we couldn’t have been happier with. The service was beautiful and we can’t say enough good things about Ed Ford, Rabbi Frank and the staff. Jeff and Tracey Simon.”
