Dear Dan,
Thank you for letting me know about Connie's passing. I feel like the floor has fallen out from underneath me and I knew her so little; I can't imagine how you, your children and the rest of your family must feel. My heart goes out to all of you and I hope that your memories of her will help get you all through this difficult time. I met Connie on a trip through Europe that she was taking with her parents and, I believe, her grandparents. I think I remember her turning eighteen on this trip. I had the privilege of sharing a room with her I remember her as soft spoken, bubbly and keen to go on adventures with another girl we met on the trip and me. We had a wonderful time and thought a lot of each other, enough so that we have written each other every year on our birthdays and at Christmas since then. I will miss her lovely letters and keeping up with her on news of her children. Again, my sincerest condolences to you all. Conny.

I am so very saddened to hear this news. Though I lost touch with Connie after college, most all of my memories of her are from our early formative years in elementary school. I remember her big, but shy, smile, her very gentle and kind way, and her soft spoken voice. Everyone around her had no choice but to love her. Much love and many prayers to her family at this sad time.
