Susan Ellis, Niece
I recall, when I was quite young and still spending a lot of time with my Granny Nichols (Dorothy's mother), we used to play cards often: Kings-in-corners, crazy-eights and rummy. I used to win often. Dorothy must have been a great card player. Because, she came to visit and trounced her mother at Rummy. The next time I visited Granny I lost every game!
I have fond memories of Dorothy: visiting her home in Marathon, fishing from the dock with Julie, and visiting Dorothy's office in Marathon. She was kind and gentle. I am sorry she has passed and hope that her family can celebrate her life without too much sadness.
