Julius "Happy" Briefman's Obituary
Julius "Happy" Briefman, born September 19, 1951, passed away in an accident on July 18, 2015 at the age of 63. He was a loving family man and loyal friend who always managed to increase the number of smiles in the world. He leaves his family and friends with unforgettable memories of his beautiful, charismatic soul.
Happy began his career in the motor home and RV repair service industry over 40 years ago. He met his wife, Elyse, in September 1978 while employed by her parents Bob and Sandy Scee at C-All RV Sales & Service. Happy and Elyse wed on August 18, 1979, and their home was joined by Happy's daughter from his first marriage, Tabatha. In May 1981 Happy and Elyse had their first child together, Jennifer. Happy later went to work for Sundance Motorhomes, first as service manager and later in sales. In 1996, Happy and Elyse were given "their gift from God" when their daughter Shannon was born. Soon after, Happy started his own business, Happy's Mobile Service, which he built into one of the most well-known and regarded brands in the industry, and which he operated until the time of his passing. Despite being a tireless worker, he remained true to himself, and never let business corrupt his values or priorities in life. With an honest and humble spirit, he cultivated long-term relationships built on trust and respect, as well as many valued friendships.
His customers said "you have to tell Happy to get better because no one can fix my motorhome like he can and I won't let any one else work on it”.
All those close to Happy know how dear his family and friends were to him, and how much pleasure it gave him to spend time together with them, whether it was deep sea fishing with his buddies, hosting the family BBQ, or volunteering his labor to help someone in need. He will be dearly missed by his wife Elyse; his daughters Tabatha, Jennifer and Shannon; his "son" Jalin Agudelo; his grandsons Jalin Alberto and Jovanny Stanley Agudelo; his brothers Samuel and David and sisters Sydney Reader and Maxine Row; his in-laws Bob and Sandy Scee, Larry and Rachel Gebaide, Joseph and Tracie Levy, and Claude, Jerry, and Nancy Scee; his Nephews David and Michael Mack, Chad, Cody, and Austin Scee, Katlin, Joshua and Eric Briefman, Paul Libonati, and Wayne Billings; his Nieces Melissa Scee, Ashley Reader, Bettie and Heather Briefman, Annie and Gina Libonati, and Lisa Billings, and by many others. His spirit will forever live in the hearts and memories of all the people whose lives he made brighter.
