Dr. Kirsch was an incredible educator. She not only taught well, she was a great motivator. She would push kids to use their minds and show them there was a bigger world outside blue collar living in Miami Beach. In 5th grade 1993 she started Academic Excellence and she took us to Kennedy Space Center. The following year she set up a fundraiser to help us lower the cost for the trip to Washington DC (Gifted program kids didn’t go). Dr. Kirsch is what made it better to be in her program. I owe many of my academic achievements to her. To her family I offer my sincere condolences and Thanks for sharing her with so many kids in Miami Beach that needed her strict way of teaching kids and pushing them to think outside the box. I’m 37yrs old now and I know I’ll never forget her. RIP Dr.Kirsch
Luba was my friend. It was hard to keep up with her as she introduced me to the joys of North Carolina living. She ran up and down those mountains as I, fifteen years her junior, limped after her. She taught me the lessons that ADK was created to convey. Yes, she was a whirlwind on two feet, and I loved her.
Luba will be greatly missed in Florida Alpha Omicron chapter of ADK. She was a ray of sunshine at our meetings before she became ill. She could keep them lively with her stories of past events she had attended while representing the Chapter. She will be missed
Luba was a strong supporter of ADK and we missed her prescence as she did not attend our meetings the past year. She was vibrant and a great model for young teachers. You could not miss seeing Luba at the theatre as her hairdo was clearly visible. She loved the Arts.God Bless your loving soul.
