Luba Kirsh's Obituary
A proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Dr. Luba Kirsh, better known in her family as Meme, passed away peacefully on September 27th in her hometown of Miami Beach, Florida at the age of 82.
Meme was a force to be reckoned with. She was a powerful and intelligent woman, devoted solely to her husband, her family, and her students. Having been an elementary school teacher for over four decades, Dr. Kirsh positively impacted the lives of hundreds of children; she made a difference in the world.
Uniquely hair styled, Meme could be spotted a mile away just by her head of towering blond curls. Beloved by her two sons, Bill and Edward, daughters-in-law Andrea and Myrium, her two grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew, granddaughter -in- law Mallory, and her new great grandchild Lucy, along with just about every single student she taught over her 40-year teaching career, Meme will most definitely be missed.
She lived a blessed life brimming with a seemingly endless diversity of rich experiences. She traveled the world, attended every.single.musical and theatrical production she could get tickets for, and successfully raised a beautiful family. If you knew Meme, you know that she had only one gear, and that was “Go.” Every minute of every day was spent living life to the fullest; loving, learning, and experiencing all the fruits the world has to offer.
Graveside service 2:30 pm Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25 Street, Doral, Florida 33172. Arrangements by Levitt Weinstein Blasberg Rubin Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.
