Marzi's elegance, kindness and consideration, attention to detail and compassion are but five of the extraordinary attributes she possessed. She and Doug entered a session on Mark Twain and charged the literary ions of that author. She and Doug sponsored literary events at their house which enriched those attending; I was blessed to attend a few and to present one. Her interests were varied and she honestly generated enthusiasm in whatever the subject or the presenter. It was my great pleasure to nominate both Marzi and Magi as Poet Laureate of Hollywood, so I was genuinely thrilled when Mayor Mara and the commission appointed both of them. It is with great sadness that they both should end their earthly journey in the same summer. Their words sing after them. Marzi's encouragement still bolsters souls she touched.
