Michele Mei Ling Jim's Obituary
Michele Mei Ling Jim (73) of Honolulu, and Las Vegas, NV passed away on April 23, 2018. Born and raised in Honolulu, she graduated from Maryknoll School class of 1962. Worked in Sales before she took a leap of faith and with her best friend Anna Doell and became the Co-owner/Founder of Ohana Doggie Day Care & Spa in Kakaako in 2005. Pioneering in the field of cage-free care for our four legged children.
Dog groomer, and animal lover she was also a mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, niece and friend, Michele was predeceased by her parents Michael (Mickey) S. G. Jim and Johanna Jim Pang. Leaving behind brothers Mitchell Jim (Starlina), Myron Jim (Merna), children – Andrew Chun (Kelley Ann), Gerard Chun (Fenny), Jason Chun (Vicky), Edmund Chun (Ha). Grand children, Lucas, Gabrielle, Carly Michele, Khanny, Carolyn and Madelyn. Hanai daughter Rhiannon Chandler-Iao. many hanai sisters (self chosen) including Anna Doell. Michele will always be remembered for her smile, love of all animals, family, friends, travel and her welcoming personality.
Services in Las Vegas will be on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 3pm at Epiphany Episcopal Church 10450 Gilespie St., Las Vegas, NV 89183. Early next year the family plans to have her join her family at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
