I had the honour to meet Michelle when she visited Israel at the age of eighteen.I was a student at the Ben Gurion university where we met.
We quickly became friends and I soon learned what a beautiful person she was.
A few years later she came again to visit me and it was an amazing reunion.
I was so sorry to learn that she has passed away and suffered so much.
Rest in peace my beautiful friend.I will always remember you.
"Many are the feelings, sensations and sentiments that seem to evoke Michele's presence for me. I want you to know that she was a good friend and that she was always concerned for the people she loved. We shared long and good conversations together. Michele loved to talk without worrying about the time or her duties. Often, she'd forget about her illness when we talked and though only of life and pleasure. I will miss -- am already missing -- our talks very much.

Michele and I only met in person a few times over the years, but she was like another sister to me. There were lengthy Facebook chats about everything from social justice, the Pope, meditation, Judaism and Buddhism to the hospital's newest/most attractive doctors and alternative medicine. And, of course, updates on Cameron and Annabelle. Michele encouraged me from afar to live life and to be brave - this was a gift I will always treasure. May she rest peacefully in eternal Brazilian sunshine <3
