Paul S. Indianer's Obituary
Paul Simon Indianer, born on January 11, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 95.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Paul lived a life filled with purpose, generosity, curiosity, and love.
He began his career in photography with his parents and then moved into the insurance industry in his 20s, dedicating himself to helping educators retire with dignity. Over the years, he founded his own insurance company, where he mentored and trained hundreds of advisors—many of whom credit their professional success to his guidance and belief in their potential.
A lifelong learner and lover of all things technical, Paul was rarely seen without a camera or gadget in hand. His passion for photography captured the beauty of everyday life, and his fascination with technology reflected his ever-curious mind.
Paul first married Julie, with whom he shared four children. He later married Nina, and together they had two children. He and Nina shared almost 60 years of marriage, full of travel, adventure, and companionship.
Deeply committed to his community, Paul served as president of the Brotherhood at his Temple and was actively involved in synagogue life. His generosity knew no bounds—he gave freely to those in need, offered his home to anyone who needed a place to stay, and lived his values of kindness and tzedakah every day.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, Paul said he survived because he could type—a skill that served him well throughout his life.
He also found joy in life’s simple pleasures—birds in his aviary, sharing laughter around a poker table every Thursday night, and spending time with family.
In his later years, Paul faced Alzheimer’s disease with grace and quiet strength. Though he lost his ability to speak in the last five years, his warm smile and expressive eyes continued to light up every room.
He is survived by his wife Nina Goldstein Indianer, children Dorothy “Dori” Indianer Wexelbaum (Lee), Gary Indianer (Adi), Sunny Kroser, Tamara Indianer (Angie Quadrini), Evan Indianer (Adrienne); grandchildren Rachel Cohen (Kyle), Josh Wexelbaum, Michelle Indianer, Netanel Indianer, Nicole Indianer, Carmel Indianer, Arielle Kroser (David Stein), Tal Kroser (Veronica Ewing), Austin Quadrini, Adam Indianer (Carly) and Noah Indianer; and great grandchildren Eli Cohen, Sarah Cohen, and Raphael Indianer, all of whom carry forward his legacy of compassion, humor, and generosity. Sadly, he was predeceased by his two siblings Leonard Indianer, z’l, and Nesie Summers, z’l, who passed this year, as well as by his son, Stephen Indianer, z’l, and his parents Joe and Bella Indianer, z’l.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025,11:00am at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
