Philip D. Cohen's Obituary
Philip D. Cohen, passed away on February 8, 2023. He was born September 29, 1942 to Freda and Jerome Cohen, M.D. of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Philip graduated from Cheshire Academy preparatory school in Cheshire, Connecticut, in 1960. Philip graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, in 1965. He married Marcia (Nee Schneider) Cohen, in 1972. Marcia survives Philip. Parents to son, Benjamin and spouse Ruthi, of Gladwyn. PA and their children Sedona, and Eve and son, Louis and spouse Becky, of Aventura, FL and their children Isaac, Jonathan and Nathan. Philp is also survived by his sister Miriam, of New York, NY. Philip founded and sold Chelsea House Publishers. He subsequently founded Mason Crest and his son, Louis, is now its’ CEO and Publisher. Philip’s son, Benjamin founded and operates, Endurance Real Estate Group, in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Philip and Marcia loved horse racing. Their horse, “Closing Argument” ran second place, in the Kentucky Derby, in 2005. Philip and Marcia resided first in Bala Cynwyd, PA and then Villanova, PA, before relocating to Aventura, Florida in 2014. Philip and Marcia’s philanthropic endeavors included ZOA, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, JAFCO, Western Wall Foundation, Magen David Adom, Weizmann Institute, Mt.
