How odd, don't know why Ricky's name came to mind just in this moment, perhaps an angel looking down. I had no idea he passed away. It just dawned on me that I hadn't "seen" him on Facebook in awhile so I thought I would check in. Wow, wow, wow......sad.
Ricky was my first "real" boyfriend. I was 14, he was 19. Yea, I know, in today's day and age, he might have been arrested. But my mom loved him, my siblings loved him. We really had the best time together. We were crazy together and crazy apart. Three years of great times, and some not so great. Ricky, if I ever caused you any pain, I am very sorry. Hoping/knowing you're enjoying a heck of a party out there and no more pain. Ricky took me to the Woodstock Reunion Concert held in eastern Long Island for my 16th birthday. You were always so full of life. #foreveryoung #forevergrateful.......... ; (

I am heartbroken that my first ever crush is no longer with us. I remember being a little giggly girl (either 5 or 6) and thinking you were the cat's meow-- my best friend had the HOTTEST older brother ever. Later in life at your sister's wedding, the crazy laughs we shared, which bonded as as adults. During a dark time in my life, we became facebook buddies and had late night "chats" for hours--those talks helped me more than you will ever know--sometimes just the laughing at what you said made my day better. I will always treasure the most beautiful Christmas card you drew and sent me in the springtime instead of Christmas. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed.
