Malcolm Meister
Bob was a man of unusual talents. He was a respected and dedicated orthodontist who made the profession of dentistry and orthodontics better merely by his presence. He was generous and supportive of orthodontic education even after he retired from orthodontics and greeted new challenges in business and real estate.
As the founding Chairman of Orthodontics, and as a neophyte in the politics of Academia, I had financial needs for building a program that were not met by the University. A call to Bob, an explanation of the situation, and a few days later a check was in my mailbox.
My condolences to the family from a colleague who truly appreciated this very special man.
