Russel Alan Goodman's Obituary
Russel Alan Goodman of Cape Coral, Florida, adoring husband to Nadine, loving father to Ranata and Jalen, father-in-law-to-be to Nathan, brother to Sharon, and Uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephew, and beloved friend, passed away December 31, 2023. Born January 18, 1957, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Russel moved and made a life in Florida, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Land Planning and Development from Florida Atlantic University. He was a successful Right of Way Agent for the Lee County Electric Cooperative and had a passion and fire for real estate and developing communities for community residents to enjoy.
At just 66 years old, Russel had already accomplished what people aspire to be – a supportive husband who celebrated his wife’s goals and achievements, a present father who came to all his kids’ events, recitals, inductions, and graduations, and a friend that everyone could count on. Russel had a strong spirit and kept his sense of humor, even through his health battles, often making his family and the nursing staff laugh. This was his greatest pride, to be able to make people happy, with a quick joke or quip ready at hand.
Russel’s humor and wit, his heart and spirit, will be missed greatly by all who knew him. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10am at Levitt-Weinstein at Beth David Memorial Gardens: 3201 N 72nd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024.
